A Simple 10-year Warranty
We stand behind all our bathroom products whether used for residential or commercial purposes. If your Maark product has a material or workmanship fault, we want to make it right.
The period of the Warranty is 1 year labour and 10 years replacement of product. The warranty period commences from the date of purchase from a Maark distributor or, date of handover for new buildings. Please refer to the section below for more information.
The Details Of Our Warranty
The warranty does not apply if there is a change of mind or if the colour or finish are not as expected. It is for this reason we provide sample swatches for all materials to inspect prior to purchase.
This Warranty covers the replacement or repair of any Maark product that has a manufacturing defect that is not the result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used. This Warranty is not transferable and covers products used for both residential and commercial purposes. Maark will not be liable for any subsequent claims of labour, additional products or parts associated with alleged faulty product for work not approved in advance in writing by Maark. To keep your warranty valid, please stick to the following care instructions.
Caring For Your Maark Basin is Simple
The do’s
- Always use a soft sponge or cloth.
- Regularly clean with warm soapy water or a pH neutral cleaner.
- Rinse chemicals immediately with water.
The dont’s
- No abrasive cloths e.g. no scouring pads, steel wool or brushes.
- No abrasive cleaners e.g. Jif or Gumption.
- No harsh chemicals.
- Avoid prolonged moisture.
Cleaning Procedure
No Abrasive Cloths or Cleaners
Do not under any circumstances use abrasive cloths e.g. scouring pads, steel wool or brushes. Do not use abrasive cleaners e.g. Jif or Gumption. Abrasive materials and solutions will scratch the surface and void the warranty.
While the surface will protect against acid attack, we recommend you avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive and high-acidity products and nail polish remover. Contact with such chemicals may damage the product over time and will void the warranty. If such chemicals contact the surface, rinse immediately with water and follow the above cleaning procedure.
Avoid Prolonged Moisture
In addition, this Warranty will not apply if:
- (a) Repairs to a product are made or attempted by a service provider other than one approved by Maark
- (b) The product has not been correctly installed in accordance with Maark’s installation instructions as provided with every product and listed on our website.
- (c) The product has not been maintained in accordance with Maark’s care and maintenance guide as provided with every product and listed on our website. The warranty will be void for the following reasons:
- • Not following the correct cleaning procedure as detailed above and in the care and maintenance guide provided with every product.
- • Surface scratches or chips are not covered under the warranty.
- • Damage from prolonged moisture exposure is not covered under the warranty as detailed above and in the care and maintenance guide provided with every product.
- d) The customer uses the product in an abnormal manner e.g. if the product is abused, misused, dropped, crushed, impacted with any hard surface, exposed to extreme cold or heat e.g. boiling water, heat gun, hair iron or, is not maintained properly.
- (e) The product has been modified, incorrectly adjusted or operated, or used with inappropriate accessories.
- (f) The product is tampered with in any way.
- (a) reject the product and get a refund;
- (b) reject the product and get an identical replacement, or one similar in value if reasonably available; or
- (c) keep the product and obtain compensation from Maark. for the drop in value of the product caused by the major failure.
- (a) a refund of the cost of the product;
- (b) replacement of the product; or
- (c) have the product repaired within a reasonable time.
Exclusion of implied warranties: Subject to the above, to the full extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions and other terms express or implied by statute, custom or common law are excluded. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions excludes or restricts any consumer guarantee, warranty, condition, right or remedy implied by any statute (including the Australian Consumer Law) which cannot be excluded, provided that, to the extent that the statute permits, Maark is entitled to limit its liability as set out above for a breach of a guarantee, condition or a warranty implied by that statute.
