Steel - Powdercoated

Maark’s team of blacksmiths hand make all metal products using galvanised or mild steel. Given its inherent longevity and durability, metal can be used over and over again. Powder coating is then applied as a decorative finish. This assists with metal protection and is corrosion resistant, however it’s not corrosion proof. Minor corrosion spotting does not affect the products structural integrity of the product and are not covered by warranty.

Care & Maintenance

EVERYDAY CLEANING + MAINTENANCE

Cleaning Procedure
Regularly wipe metal with warm soapy water or a pH neutral cleaner using a soft sponge or cloth.

No Chemicals
Avoid alcohol-based or solvent-based detergents as they may attack powder coating. Do not use cleaners or polishes as these may cause permanent damage.

No Scourers
To avoid scratches, do not use abrasive cloths, chemicals or powdered cleaners. Use damp cotton cloth to remove dirt, dust, or other impurities. Gentle circular movements without rubbing isrecommended. Immediately dry with a fresh cloth to remove residual moisture and prevent streaking.

Avoid Prolonged Moisture
Avoid leaving moist or wet products directly on the surface for an extended period.

Positioning
Colour of powder coating alters over time with ageing and exposure to UV light. This can be reduced by minimising direct sunlight.
